Individual Therapy

InnerWeave Psychology offers individual psychotherapy virtually and in-person to address depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and relationship difficulties.

Depression
and
Anxiety

Depression and anxiety can have paralyzing effects, and taking steps toward treatment may feel overwhelming. The good news is that once you start, psychotherapy can be life-changing. The first step in therapy is understanding how your symptoms are interfering with your everyday life. Then we can identify practical strategies for improving your day-to-day while you simultaneously gain insight into what has been causing the symptoms. Addressing both directly will help you effect long-lasting changes.

Traumatic
Experiences

Experiencing events or periods of trauma that threaten your sense of safety and integrity leaves a mark on your life. Some of these marks become scars, while others never heal – continuing to haunt and cause you pain, and even develop into a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Unfortunately, standard talk therapy is not always particularly effective for resolving trauma-related concerns. A more targeted treatment is often recommended. At InnerWeave Psychology, we have specialized training for addressing PTSD and complex trauma. In treatment, you will set the pace. Exposure to traumatic memories can be daunting and it is critical that you feel ready and safe as you embark on your therapeutic journey.

The following trauma-focused treatments are particularly effective in treating PTSD and other post-traumatic syndromes:

Alcohol
and
Drug Use

Treatment for substance abuse is a collaborative process during which we help you determine what kind of relationship you want to have with substances, whether it is moderation, abstinence, reduction, or a combination of these goals. Once you have a clear sense of what changes you'd like to make, we identify the practical strategies you need to succeed in your day-to-day life, while also developing a deeper understanding of the roots behind your substance abuse. A combination of both will help you make sustainable changes.

Relationship
Difficulties

Interpersonal conflict is part of being human. However, sometimes it becomes difficult to break the cycles antagonistic relationships play in our lives. During these times, it can be helpful to take a step back and re-evaluate your relationship needs and goals. Therapy can help you identify and change those interpersonal patterns that have been interfering with your efforts to lead a happy, fulfilling life.
